Author Phoebe Lee approached Fern in the hope of a book publicity campaign that would catapult her book to success.  The problem was, for a self-published children’s picture book, the sales and publicity prognosis is usually fairly dismal.  Rather than a traditional publicity campaign, Fern organized a blog tour for the book, including:

 

  • Writing 30 unique articles, focusing on three different aspects of the book (parenting, ADHD, sleep issues)
  • Researching the market for blogs in those three categories, and the details of the 30 best and biggest blogs open to outside contributors
  • Personally contacting each blog host, to offer a unique article during the designated publicity month
  • Organizing the mailing of 30 books as giveaways to each of the blogs

Phoebe had a successful (29-day) blog tour, gave out 30+ books, and sold thousands of copies directly as a result of the campaign.
